  • It's been a while!

So it's been a while and I decided it was time to post an update.  Isn't funny how busy life can be sometimes.  That's the way I have felt lately.  Sometimes it's not even me that is the busy one, but my husband flying in 50 different directions around me.  He has been really busy lately with work, more than usual.  So since the last post I helped give a bridal shower for Drew and Kyndall and a 50th birthday surprise for my Aunt Laurie.  Last weekend I went to a 1st birthday party then the Baze wedding then a birthday dinner for a friend.  Now I am starting to prepare for a garage sale, some other activities I am planning for and we started Hunter's first T-ball team this week!  Now that is fun, seeing your son play baseball for the first time is something we have been waiting for!!  He loves it.  So that's it in a nutshell these days, here are some pics from all the fun!

  • Fall is here

So we've been a little busy here so I thought I would post some pics.  We had Hunter's Pumpkin party at school and I made pumpkin cupcakes which turned out pretty cute.  He is liking school this year and I really like his teacher.  Then they went to Trunk or Treat at South Mac where he goes to school and we met up with April and Claire.  She's such a cute cheerleader don't ya think!  Then I worked very hard making Hunter's birthday cake and if you notice there is something wrong with the first picture of his cake.  It has HOLES in it!!!!!  We have Drew my naughty little 2 year old to thank for that.  I was so upset.  It takes a lot of work to make a decent cake!  Then I learned that Hunter knows retaliation and he went in his room and ripped off his train track that MOM glued down so that Drew wouldn't break it, just because Drew stuck his fingers in his cake.  See Hunter doesn't play with the train track, Drew does so he was being ugly and ripped it up!  Whatever, mom's just have these days sometimes.  Mine just seems to be lasting weeks.

So we had a nice party on Saturday.  The weather cooperated beautifully.  It was fun and I repaired the cake somewhat.  And who needs cake when your friends make you awesome Bob and Larry cookies!!!!  Thank you Victoria...she's so talented!

Then we were off to the Fall Festival and of course Drew found a tractor!  Yes he didn't want to leave it, he would have sat there all night if you had let him!  So it was all a little tiring, but it all turned out great.  Now we have our meeting with Kevin Fox to look forward to!

  • Dallas Arboretum

I have found my new favorite place!  Just send me there and leave me.  The Dallas Arboretum is such a wonderful place.  In the last two years I have began to love plants and flowers and gardening and this is a haven for that.  They have all the plants labeled and the are all amazing and gorgeous of course.  Then for the fall they had a pumpkin patch that was so fun.  The had a little hut made out of pumpkins and a hay bale maze and a pumpkin topiary that was probably 10ft. tall.  There were kids running around like crazies and climbing all over the pumpkins and everyone having picnics.  It was great.   It was hard to keep up with your kids, I lost Drew once and I started to panic and I told my friend even to help me look for him and he was in the total opposite direction I thought he was and he was actually standing near our stroller!  Don't you hate the I've lost my kid panic feeling!!!!  Thankfully I haven't actually lost one yet....knock on wood.  I didn't take pictures of all the beautiful flowers and gardens and views of White Rock Lake, because I was too busy pushing a stroller.  Anyway....it's always nice to find new places like this!  I can't wait to go back!
